FUHR 856 Lift Lever Replacement Gearbox

The FUHR 856 Lift Lever Gearbox is a replacement centre gearbox for FUHR lever-operated multipoint door locks, commonly found on uPVC and aluminium doors.

Designed for lift-lever operation, the gearbox allows the multipoint locking points to be engaged by lifting the handle before the door is secured with the key.

Replacement Information

Please compare your existing gearbox carefully before ordering. Older FUHR gearboxes may have a 28 mm latch, while newer versions can use a 33 mm latch. Where suitable, an undamaged original latch may be transferred to the replacement gearbox.

Also take particular care with 30 mm gearboxes fitted to certain bifold doors, including some Smarts Aluminium applications, as these may not interchange with the standard FUHR 856 gearbox.

Positive Locking Action

FUHR gearboxes incorporate a pre-fitted ball bearing and spring. The ball bearing engages with a small notch in the internal sliding strip under spring tension, helping provide the characteristic positive feel during handle operation.

Please check the backset, PZ measurement, gearbox dimensions, latch configuration and fixing positions against your existing gearbox before ordering.
