130mm Split Spindle – 8mm Multipoint Door Lock Spindle

The 130mm Split Spindle is designed to activate the nightlatch function on compatible split spindle multipoint door locks.

Unlike a standard solid spindle, this split spindle consists of two separate spindle sections connected by a central pin. This allows each section to rotate independently, enabling the external handle to operate separately from the internal handle when fitted to a compatible split spindle gearbox.

This makes it an ideal replacement component for UPVC, composite and other multipoint locking door systems where split spindle or nightlatch operation is required.

How a Split Spindle Works

When installed into a compatible gearbox, the split spindle allows the inside and outside handles to operate independently. This functionality is commonly used with lever/pad and certain lever/lever door handle arrangements to provide a nightlatch function.

The spindle has an 8mm square profile and measures 130mm overall, making it suitable for a wide range of compatible multipoint door locks.
