iDeal Restricted Friction Hinges – 13mm Stack
The iDeal Restricted Friction Hinge range combines a high-quality window friction stay with an integrated restriction feature, helping limit the initial window opening for improved safety and controlled ventilation.
The built-in restrictor limits the opening to approximately 100mm and includes a convenient quick-release button, allowing the window to be opened further when required. Once the sash is closed, the restrictor automatically relocates ready for normal operation.
Manufactured from Ferritic 430 stainless steel, these hinges are suitable for top-hung and side-hung casement windows and are designed for reliable long-term use.

Side Hung Handing & Restrictor Position
For the 12" and 16" side-hung versions, only the bottom hinge includes the restrictor. The top hinge is a standard-opening friction hinge.
Handing is as follows:
- Left Hand: window is hinged on the right
- Right Hand: window is hinged on the left
This is important when selecting the correct version, as the restrictor is positioned on the lower hinge only.
Top Hung Restriction
The 24" top-hung pair includes a restrictor on both sides, providing restricted opening on both hinges.
